Empowering Change: Marys Meal's and Insights Foundation Collaboration

Mary's Meals is a global movement that delivers school feeding programmes in some of the worlds poorest communities, where poverty and hunger often prevent children from gaining an education. Providing daily meals in places of learning encourages children into the classroom, where they can receive an education that offers a route out of poverty.

Mary's Meals ensures that schools and communities have the knowledge, skills, equipment and support they need to be able to own and implement school feeding in accordance with our policies and model. The Insights Foundation has been supporting the charity with team effectiveness expertise, leadership training, and funds to help the charity support more children with daily, nutritious school meals.

"As a global organisation, the collaboration with the Insights Foundation allows us to work across different cultures, understand what really makes someone tick and motivates them, and how we can bring our organisation together to work more efficiently. At Marys Meals, our ambition is to feed as many children as possible and the best way for us to do that is to coordinate the way we are working and connect in that deep, personal way. That’s what Insights does."

"As we move forward into our new strategy, we have some ambitious goals. The support from the Foundation allows us to continue to evolve in how we work with each other. Our organisation is now very global and very remote first. Keeping in touch with how we communicate with our colleagues, understanding what the most effective way is to work with them and how to bring different skills forward is helping us to work more efficiently towards our aims and ultimately feed more children."
Leah Swindon, Chief Growth Officer

What we love about our partnership with the Insights Foundation is that it goes beyond financial contributions. Our partnership is about really growing our structure, empowering our leaders and teams to be able to work well with each other, and to be able to grow in their own countries and as a network together. That kind of global empowerment is going to make the biggest difference, allowing us to grow and feed more children.
