Supporting Youth 1st: Empowering Young People

Established over 80 years ago, Youth 1st is the leading support agency for youth organisations, youth groups, youth workers, volunteers, and young people in Fife, Scotland. With approximately 11,000 members attending over 250 different youth groups and organisations, Youth 1st is a cornerstone of youth development in the region.

The charity offers innovative and essential training for youth workers and a diverse range of activities and opportunities for young people, such as training workshops, sports tasters, networking events, and activity weekends. Youth 1st's dedicated team, made up of both paid staff and volunteers, offers invaluable support services to its member groups.

With the Foundation's support, Youth 1st implemented Insights Discovery training to foster greater understanding and compassion within their team. While they were already a caring group, Insights Discovery helped them take it a step further by improving their communication and teamwork. The training enabled them to understand the best ways to interact and support each other, enhancing their overall effectiveness.
